Origin
The volcanic soils of the Colli Euganei ensure low vigour, which helps restrain the Glera variety’s natural exuberance. As a result, the wines here have a lovely purity and depth on the palate, complementing rather than competing with the Ca’ Morlin Prosecco.
Producer
The Cantina Colli Euganei, which is the biggest wine producer in the Veneto area, has around 950 members, run by Director Alessio Equisetto who shares our commitment to quality and value and this really shines through in the glass. The co-operative has a long history in the Veneto area.
Grape Variety
100% Glera
Glera is the grape variety used in the production of Prosecco sparkling wine. The fruits for this wine come from vineyards in the natural reserve of Colli Euganei. The vineyards are composed of a mix volcanic, calcareous and clay soils. The vines are trained with the Double Guyot training system.
The grapes were cold pressed and fermented in pressurised temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve their aromatic qualities. The wine was bottled under pressure so that it remained ‘spumante’, or sparkling.
