WineTrust was launched in 2013 by John Valentine, a passionate wine enthusiast with a background in retail marketing and distribution. John felt that there was a gap in the wine world for a retailer that focussed purely on the quality and value of wine, and sourcing excellent wine from artisan producers, without the inflated price tag. He felt that often consumers were being short changed, with poor quality wine at inflated prices, with a lack of focus on quality. Quite simply, you do not have to pay huge prices for exceptional quality wine.
John wanted to bring a fresh and honest approach to wine selection and retail, and so has been working closely ever since with knowledgeable Masters of Wine to create and constantly update WineTrust’s portfolio of incredibly special wines, but still at excellent value – something that will always will be our main ethos and focus.
