Origin

Based at Alto Agrelo in Mendoza, Pulenta own 135 hectares including large plots in the finest sub regions of Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley. Many of these vineyards are situated at altitudes of between 3000 and 3,500 feet, which tempers the Mendoza heat and makes for more refined and balanced wines. All vineyards are operated on an organic basis and are irrigated from natural melted Andes snow water.

Producer

Bodegas Pulenta is a family enterprise now in its third generation of wine makers. Winemaking began just over a century ago in 1912, while the Luján de Cuyo plantation was only later added in 1992. Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta are currently in charge, taking over from their father, Antonio.

100% Cabernet Franc.

Grape clusters are manually sorted and undergo cold maceration for 48 hours and complete maceration for 21 days. Fermentation occurs in a selection of stainless steel tanks, roll fermentors and barrels. Matured in new French oak barrels for 18 months.
