Origin
The vineyards are located at an altitude of 250 m. Land of hillsides with stony clay-limestone soils and very steep. The soil is worked in its entirety with respect for the environment and the plant.
Producer
The Domaine des Escaravailles has been the property of the Ferran family for three generations. Founded in 1953 by Jean-Louis Ferran and his sons Daniel and Jean-Pierre, it has been managed since 1999 by Gilles, Daniel’s son.
Grape Variety
80% Grenache, 20% Syrah.
The vines are cultivated in the old way with plowing and organic fertilizers.The harvest is essentially manual and sorted. The grapes are then destemmed, vinified and matured in the highest semi-buried cellar of Rasteau, located in the heart of the vineyard.

Grilled meats, grilled aubergine, mutton fricassee with green peppers, Auvergne blue cheese.
