Pick of the month
Sandeman, White Port
The Sandeman, White Port is straw yellow in colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe citrus and tropical fruits such as lemon, melon and pineapple are complemented by subtle vanilla nuances. A crisp and refreshing acidity on the palate perfectly balances the sweetness and carries the juicy fruit flavours onto the lingering finish. Best served chilled, this White Port can be savoured on its own, or as a refreshing ‘Portonic’ with a splash of tonic water, a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint.
Azevedo, Vinho Verde Loureiro/Alvarinho
The Azevedo, Vinho Verde Loureiro/Alvarinho, is clear and bright with youthful hues. It has intense aromas of fresh citrus fruit, ripe nectarine, lime blossom and herbaceous hints. Wonderfully refreshing on the palate with aromatic citrus and stone fruit notes, a lively acidity and a crisp and clean finish.
Jordan Black Magic Merlot
Harvested from mature east and west-facing vineyards established on soils of decomposed granite. Part whole-berry fermentation and softer pump-overs extract aromas of red plums and dark bitter chocolate. French oak maturation seasons the wine to accentuate the seductive flavours and generous velvety tannins.

I immediately messaged my friend who recommended WineTrust when I opened this bottle to thank him as this was a beautiful red that was just too easy to drink. So… I’ve come to remind myself just how easy it was and buying more. Lovely.
Rich, silky, spicy and very dry – a classic Syrah and another great value wine from Winetrust.

By Nick Adams Another must have for Christmas – cheese! Is there anything more appealing than a great cheese board on Christmas or Boxing Day?
